Eternity and More

asked if I would turn his poem "Eternity and More" into a song. I thought it would be fun do, so I came up with some chords and a melody and opened up FL. I was also asked to sing this, so my voice most likely killed the lyrics.

Taking it in stride.
Both feet on the ground,
Going for the ride.

Looking for that person,
While looking out for me,
I'm not one to worsen,
While floating out to sea.
Can't seem to figure out,
Why words mean so much.
Looking out for no one,
May not work as such.

Calling me a fool,
They say it night and day,
I try not to lose my cool,
Because everything's okay.
And I then heard that whisper,
I hear it on sun’s ray,
Telling me to go and look,
And I reply “okay”.

Looking for the thrill,

Many say life is short,
But they never made the trip,
I’ve always known the sort,
Wine of life they’ll never sip.
Take the chance and take a stand,
Life’s longer than you make it.
A true love can stop Time’s sand,
Ticking as you see fit.

Living life in the hour,
I search for that voice,
I will not stop and cower,
I’ve made my final choice.
Feeling thrills of mystery,
Living out my chase,
Don’t get stuck down in history,
The future I’ll embrace.
