The Demon King Azailasen (black hair), his wife, Shoal (reddish sandy hair) and Eagret (the dog), 3 characters of mine from a story I'm working on, all together. :) They're so nice as a family.
Eagret's not a dog, he's a shapeshifting Dreameater. So he can be anything, but I really wanted to make him a red dog.
NO IT ISN'T EXPLICIT FOR USING CORRECT CANINE ANATOMY TO PROVE THAT EAGRET IS A GUY.
-sigh- You guys.
He has a bald tummy~~ Like my doggy. ^-^
There're some mistakes because the background was a bitch I HATE GRASS -fumes in a corner- And the tree is supposed to look like cotton candy :3 I love the stuff, and the colors were pretty together.
Overall, this took me about a week or so. I scanned it in in pencil, can you believe it? I finally got brave enough to do that! And then I outlined in photoshop and colored. Many many layers. -cries-
A week's time was well worth it though. Besides the mistakes, I'm really happy with how this came out. I plan to print it, enlarge it at kinko's, laminate it and put it on my wall as a poster. ;D
For some reason, I just couldn't be happy with Azailasen's face, though :( Maybe it's too long...or his eyes are a funny shape or something...
I finally became semi satisfied with it once I moved the eyes around a little, and this is the final result.
Azailasen's shirt matches Shoal's collar and bow and stuff, and the cloth in his pocket matches her dress. That's why the colors are like that, and brown was really the only color that went well with both.
So no, he's not wearing his usual black entourage.
And Shoal's wearing a frilly dress for once! I finally got creative with her and allowed a little wiggle room from her usual tomboyish self.

The only thing that could use work are your textures, like the fur and tree bark, BUT man those are hhhaaaard, take lots of practice, and I wouldn't know how to help you in a digital medium anyway
