Chapter one
Receiving

Ding!
The young female raised her head slightly, her crimson tipped, silver hair falling lightly over her shoulders. The scar from her hairline over her eye and across her left cheek shown as she sat up and stretched her arms above her head. Her long lashes peeled apart, cold, steel blue eyes shining at the computer screen. She blinked, her pale lips parting in a small awe. She pulled a black hair tie off her thin, scar ridden arm and tied her hair back, the scars on her arms glistening in the fuzzing light. She pulled her bra strap tighter, the scars from her torso down exposed. She scratched her right leg with her left foot, cutting it on the metal shrapnel buried in both legs, the blood running into the tub under her suspended chair. She stretched her long, slender legs, pulling herself closer to the computer screen and cracked her knuckles.
“Show me what you got.”
“New video conference, Hevn.” The computer said.
“Right…time to get to work… computer, start up voice scramble. Let’s play.” Hevn sighed, turning on the microphone and setting it to record. “You contacted me, so you want me to do an assassination or help. You must tell me everything and I shall see if I am able to do something for you.”
“I need help, but I don’t have the money to pay for your services. I just don’t know who else to turn to ask. The government told me I was crazy and other towns laugh at me…please…I’m desperate…” a timid man’s voice came through, a web cam loading.
“Why do you hide? Tell me you story and I’ll think on what I maybe able to do for you.” She zoomed in on the lightest part of the screen, a coiled white snake on his left cheek.
“I cannot say who I am or I shall be killed. Please, my town is currently under the control of a man who calls himself Hybrid Vegetable Venom. He attacks the people, beats them if they don’t do what he orders. He takes girls, I don’t know exactly what he does with them, but they come back bruised. Please, I don’t know who else to turn to, and I don’t know how much time before he finds me and beats me, too.” He started to break down in sobs.
“All right, I’ll be there in two weeks. Until then, no one must know we have talked.” She scratched her nose.
“Thank you so much! I’ll find a way to repay you! I swear it!”
“No need. I’ve done a lot of crimes in my life, I feel I should repay for the deaths I caused. It is my duty, I suppose.” She sighed.
“I’ll find a way! I promise!”
Ding!
The link closed, casting the room into darkness.
“Computer, set out to move to the city. Pack all, leave no trace.” She slid off the chair, the blood splattering her as she landed. She starred at the waist deep liquid, holding her hands up in front of her eyes and blinked. “How much?”
“You’re down to one fourth of an average human.” CoJack responded.
“That much, huh? I’m going to get a bath, put the water proof bandages on the table.” She stretched, moving into the elevator through the sea like blood.
“Done. When we leaving?”
“Tomorrow. Post the house for sale.” She stepped into the elevator, putting a hand over her mouth as she smelled rotting flesh. ‘I forgot, going up this way you can sense the corpses of those I’ve killed down here…makes my stomach churn…’
“Starting cleaning.” The computer buzzed as she stumbled into a bath.
“A-h…” she winced slightly as the cold water hit her flesh, steam raising off her body and blood splattering the floor. She leaned back, cracking her spine in ten different places.
“Should I open it up so you can stretch?”
“Yes. That would be most wise.” She reached for the ceiling as the walls slid back, forming a space the size of a pool with busts in different places. She bent back, reaching for the ground and coming to with in an inch of touching. She sighed, cracking more bones to be able to place her palms on the floor.
“I can’t believe you can still do that at this age.” The camera in the corner twisted slightly.
“My father was able to do it without catching like I did. He was seventy-eight before he was killed. Still strong for a man of his years.” She lifted herself onto her hands and held herself up straight.
“Most humans aren’t able to do that.” He commented.
“Most humans can’t handle hundreds of weapons.” She picked up a gun from the backside of her shorts, firing at a bust above the shower head. She balanced herself so she could cure into a c-shape, firing three times at the moving bust and nailing it all three times. She pushed off into a flip, firing at ten different busts that popped out of the walls. “Or anything I just did.”
“Are you done? I don’t feel like cleaning up anymore busts you break. I still have to pack for you.”
“Yes, I am. I will pack for myself, I feel…restless again.” She reloaded the clip, stepping into her bedroom and setting the gun on a dresser.
“You always feel restless.”
“This is different…I’m…thinking about everything that guy said. CoJack; connect communication with a male collage student, most likely one who lost their parents and maybe a sibling. Follow normal procedure, I shall be polishing my weapons and packing.” She shut the door…
