Don't get me wrong. I really love Vue. It's easy to use (well once you see the tutorial video) and you can make some awesome stuff in it. I made that whole scene in about 10-15 minutes.

The only thing I DON'T like about this program is the "false advertising". Vue Pioneer is advertised as a free "full product" on the Cornucopia website. However in order to even download it, you have to get a shopping account, communicating to the company that you intend to purchase the online content or other products.

When you open Vue up, you find that a whole bunch of the objects/materials/atmospheres appear in the menus but actually AREN'T included in the program (so why even put the thumbnails in there? To trick us?). You have to buy them to use them. Darnit. Luckily we're allowed to create our own atmospheres, textures and objects to get around this. (In fact I even tried downloading some FREE objects from the website and it said my version of Vue wasn't compatible).

But the MOST annoying thing is that logo. Could it BE any bigger? I'd have a better time putting up with it if it were smaller (like just had the Vue 7 instead of all that crap beneath it). Really why can't Cornucopia just call it a shareware version? That's what it is.

Anyway. Sorry for ranting on like this. Even though my copy of Vue is severely limited, I think it will help me in creating backgrounds and location concepts with actual depth (except I'll have to redraw it all in Photoshop).
