1/2 of a pair of pictures that conceptually, at least, go together, along with "Flower of Virtue".
This one represents a 'lighter' side; frolicking faeries and delicate white flowers. You'd think -this- would be Virtue, but it's not; the faeries hide themselves, you don't know what they're about. They're notorious tricksters and troublemakers, you don't know until it's too late sometimes whether they're good or bad. A cynic might say, anyone who's as happy and carefree as faeries are usually portrayed is either lying, or stupid. Choosing to go with the Deception angle...here you have it.
Of course, the title is also meant to be ironic.
So it can be taken either way, I suppose.
