My painting final.
I've been meaning to put it up for a long time.
Painting was by far one of my least favorite studios. A lot of people find it strange that I don't like it. But I just don't, so it was a big fight all the way through and my professor was really tough on top of that.
My goal on this instance was to have a fuller scale of value. In much of my previous work, I had a tendency to be very "high key" with warmer temperature hues. So, I spent a good couple hours a day in the studio trying to break that habit with this painting. I can't recall how much time now, but it was a painful long amount.
Overall, it's successful. There are a few drawing issues, but in the end, I simply ran out of time and had to live with it.
As for the theme, this was supposed to represent, well, whatever theme you chose. Mine was memories. The flowers are from the tree in my front yard when it blossoms in the spring. The green booklet is my assignment book because I'm very forgetful (although I've gotten better over the years). The red one is my sketchbook that I use to purposely forget memories or create new ones. The cameras capture memories. And the background is a bit of landscape from a potential memory in the future.

I think it's lovely!
I know what it's like to get sick of a particular subject; still life painting for GCSE Art put me off apples, shoes and pepper grinders for life (that's seriously all we drew). Yet you didn't give up on it and it turned out great C:
