Mecha Chibi Robot is from some old-as-hell comics me and some friends did in school. Here I just re-did it to match more with current mecha technology.

The controls seem pretty inconvenient and painful, but it's the only way I could think of to get full arm and leg control. There hasn't been any realistic controls as such in any anime that I've seen.

The Big O anime used to be up top on my realistic controls list, what with the sliders making the arm throw like a punch. But with that limited mobility, he would always have to stand like a Starman from Earthbound. Yet in the anime, The Big O could hold his arms perfectly to his sides and other positions. The sliders didn't bend, so how did this work? The sliders were still the most probable controls I've seen at the time, but the foot pedals as leg controls ruined it for me.

Then Gurren Lagann came about. The arm controls are really good in that anime. It allowed for a much wider range of movement than The Big O's did. But alas, the pilot still sat in the cockpit, making it necessary for foot pedals for the controls.

Foot pedals are highly improbable as leg controls. First off, what controls the knees? Sure, you could time moving the pedals in conjunction with leg movement for walking. But what if the mech stumbles? The incredibly limited mobility doesn't work for that. He would just tip over to the side kicking his legs in an awkward running motion.

So I settled on motion controls. Pressure-sensitive buttons on the hand controls allow for finger movements(Forgot MCR didn't have fingers at the time lol), but still. And for the feet; there are steel shoes you put on.

Sure, there are no knee or elbow controls still, but when you think about it, the human arm has it's own limited range of motion. MCR's computers would recognize that and move the mecha's arm accordingly to the controller's position.

Have the controls both horizontally in front of your chest close to your sternum, and MCR would hold his arms likewise similar to the way a hamster or something would.

tl;dr
This is a chibi robot with moderately realistic controls.
