For you

For you

I never knew you that well,
but I still loved you.
The time we shared was few,
but I still respected you.

You fought a war I hated,
yet I supported you.
You had a beautiful baby boy,
and I cheered for you.

When you left and died,
I mourned for you.
As the world sees you as a number,
I sit here, missing you.

So this vendor near where I work had a ring just like Jonathan's only more of a female version. I got the inspiration to write when I saw it, and this is what came out. Enjoy!
