I'm still shocked I actually have this done on time :O This would be my entry for 's contest! Basically the contest was to create your own anti version of a character (more info on that check her journal). While I didn't really have much choice with my lack of characters, I was happy to use Faye for this, considering she's basically a reflection of me, and I wanted to do something a little more personal and meaningful for once. Honestly, I like how the character came out A LOT, to the point I'd like to draw her again, and even considered a name for her: Eva. Bascially I took Faye, flipped it to Eyaf, took out the f and changed the y to a v. That's as witty as I get sometimes ;p We'll see if it sticks... Though as much as I loved how she came out, I'm still disappointed with the background... *shrug* as usual. Anyway, for those who are intereseted, here's basically what the 'criteria' for the anti-fursona was and how it's incorporated here.

Everything the character is not: Eva is very rash, impatient, bold, and brave. She also tends to be mean-spirited and is incredibly wrathful.

Flaws and fears are out in the open: This part I focused on a lot of true personal flaws/fears, and they're represented more so through symbols. I'll spare you long explanations of them, I doubt anyone wants to read long, angsty ramblings, but here's an idea...

Mask: Often hiding emotions/thoughts, not always 'self' around most people
Third eye: Over analyzing
Eyes blank/distant: Habit of day-dreaming, difficulty facing reality
Bandages on mouth: Doubt, lack of self-trust/confidence
Fused mouth under bandages: Reserved, comfort in isolation
Spider: Obviously phobia of spiders
Main coat white: Perfectionist, fear of failure

Other than the changes listed above, her physical design is like Faye's, fox like, short, red hair etc... however she is a lot more sickly thin (this was not a fear/flaw thing, I don't have an eating disorder or something, it was more so to fit in with the anti idea and look cool :3) and her markings are a little different. They're in the same place, however the orange became white, and the white and black became orange with heavy black outlines. Part of this was to switch it up, but the main coat becoming white was also another fear/flaw attribute as said above. I always joke about hating art blocks and staring at blank sheets of paper for hours and coming up with nothing, but the fact that it happens often worries me, especially since I want to major in art. Is it lack of creativity/ability, or inspiration/effort? Thus the white sort of represents that dreaded blank page, which goes into the bigger picture of not being good enough to go into art, and ultimately the idea of failure altogehter.

Alright, sorry for this getting so long, but there was a lot to explain I guess >< Hope you enjoy, and good luck to the others in the contest!!
