Fifth track for the Zutara Week EP. I really love this song--I couldn't resist taking the extra time to fuss with it a bit. Still not as in depth as I'd like it to be on this recording but I still like how it came out. Looking forward to adding it to the next gig setlist!

We both face west
Watch the sunset
Catching our breath
Pretend it's just coincidence

Early stars rise
Light the night sky
We waste more time
Still standing quiet side by side

(side by side..)

Well I won't
Be so bold
As to tell you that
You've got my heart
But I hope
That you know
That we glow like
Fireflies in the dark

We drink cold tea
Under shade trees
Sipping slowly
We hide our feelings in the heat

Lazy summer
Pulls us under
Days are numbered
Want to hold tight to one another

(one another...)

Well I won't
Be so bold
As to tell you that
You've got my heart
But I hope
That you know
That we glow like
Fireflies in the dark

We send out sparks
Like tiny suns
We flash in
Perfect rhythm
I have been waiting
for someone
Like you

Well I won't
Be so bold
As to point out
You've had my heart
Cuz I know
That you know
That we glow like
Fireflies in the dark

Fireflies in the dark

I like it... Though, only for the first verse and a half. After that, it gets kind of repetitive. Nice, lyrics and nice melody, tho.

I like this one a lot too. I don't think it's that repetitive at all. I love love the high guitar and percussion! The stops for the harmonies = damn awesome production.

I would absolutley jam out with this song if I knew the chords. LOL. Awesome job!
