Forgotten Part 43: The afterglow.

“He’s quite sleepy, yet you are as active as ever.” The sun shone in through the large tinted windows into the sleeping quarters. The wolf caressed the sleeping bird. He appeared exhausted, almost worn to his last strength. The blue orb hovered as his halos turned round him.

“But he was great.” She said soft. Her voice was tired and a tad rough. Her fingers moved through the bird’s feathers as she admired him. “Like he knew the perfect way.”

“I’m afraid your recently lost hymen can beg you have little to tell on reproductive cycles.” The albino’s faced turned to the orb, frowning.

“But it was still amazing.” Her teeth clenched together and her voice angry, the sphere was upset.

“I MUST say your behaviour towards me has declined. At least Mr. Pretovitsh has the decency of calling me VALL, an abbreviation of my real name, instead of your illogical “Vally”.” The wolf gave a snarl, before turning to her lover. “I can take you have secured yourself and applied the necessary precautions?”

“Huh?”

“Condoms, Miss Cassandra, condoms. I have yet to conclude and STDs or his fertility level. Any signs of pregnancy could greatly damage your effectivity until abortion protocols have been accepted.” The wolf sighed, not even looking at the hovering device.

“I don’t care. He has the looks, he knows the ropes and his personality isn’t that bad either. Maybe I should quit and settled down with him.” She though about that. It was everything but appealing to her. “Or I just have the baby and let him take care of it.” A smile slowly appeared on those thoughts. Not an evil grin, but a smile of compromise.

“What ever your plans will be, I insist on the use of precautionary tools.”

“Ugh… just set course to the nearest town.” The orb hovered up the stairs to the control panel. After some uploading, the engine started roaring and the vehicle moved through the rocks. The bird woke up, dazzled by the shaking. He turned around and looked at the wolf. Suddenly, he calmed down and cuddled up to her. The robot poked his eye down the hatch to see it happen.

“He’s indeed very affective.” The robot hovered down to approach him for a blood sample, though the wolf stopped him cold.

“No. Not now. He’s tired enough without losing blood.” The robot drooped off down the hatches, leaving the wolf with her friend.

“I love you.” The bird said in a loud yawn. The wolf nuzzled him softly, to his own pleasure.

“So do I. And I love you too.”

He's happy, she's happy. He's probably forgotten all about Amanda Bell.
