I see it coming

I see it coming

You're a mirror.

Some people primp for hours on them, while some avoid reflections like the plague, like a truth telling sage whose advice is refused. It's a traditional symbol of arrogance, but mirrors if anything are objects of humility.

They will see
themselves, not
you. And besides,
you're an object.

Who wants to see you? If they don't want to, you can be easily broken and disposed of whether it be garbage can or hauling truck. But if they do, you leave thorns behind and make sure of what they have done.

That part is
difficult to tell.
I haven't known
you that long.

You want a thank you for your services, you feel so stationary, you feel so tired, you feel so angry. And I think:

Maybe you will
break, and leave
nothing but bits
behind at us.

And when I see myself in you, I think of what will happen to me.
