Two days later, the final day of Ryan’s Bankai training, and the unknown attack from the Octava and Sexta Espadas. Raring to go, Ryan had already resumed fighting with his Zanpaktuo spirit, who wouldn’t admit it, but he was surprised with how much he had progressed, having almost mastered Shunpo - not gotten the hang of controlling how much energy he uses for each step - and had learnt a lot of how to use his Shikai’s abilities. “Spine del drago, volo dell'introito!” He heard the Soul Reaper shout, and was almost caught off-guard as the spines of the Shikai flew at him, and was shocked as another one went right through his shoulder. Before his opponent got too full of himself, he used Shunpo to quickly approach him and attempted to kick him into the air, but the Soul Reaper must have planned for it, as he used Shunpo to get behind the spirit and attempt a slash at his wings. Drago quickly spun round and clashed blade against blade. As the two were locked in place, struggling to move their opponent and get an easy hit, Drago spoke.

“Enough, I yield.” He says, easing off, Ryan stepped back.” You have done well, and have proven yourself worthy of Bankai.” He explained, noticing that the spines were still flying all over the place.” But first, call back the spines, they are needed for initiating the Bankai.” He says.

“Riposi le vostre ale” He says, the spines which had been soaring around came to a sudden halt, before rushing back to hover next to the blade of Fame Del Drago’s Shikai.

“Now, proclaim Bankai.” He says, forming a cloak around himself by wrapping his wings around him and keeping them together with the small claw like extensions.

“All right, Bankai!” He exclaims, the spines react by glowing green for a moment, then begin spinning around him at a gradually increasing speed, until he was obscured from view. Then, the spines slowly slowed down, and at the same time started to disappear, leaving a changed Ryan. His legs and left arm became covered in tough scales, his nails on his left hand became sharp claws, he also gained a reptilian tail which ended in a single spike and great scaled wings, the scales were black, and the leathery skin on the wings are white in contrast. Looking at his now scaly left hand, he though of how similar it was to Captain Hitsugaya of Squad Ten’s Bankai, except he had no weapon aside from the claws and tail, his was scales while Captain Hitsugaya’s was ice. The power he felt was like nothing he had felt before, and he began to wonder if everyone felt invincible when they first used their Bankai.

“The name of your Bankai is Anima Del Drago Fiero, remember that name well.” Said Drago.” I will not teach you how to utilise all of your Bankai’s abilities all at once, but I’ll tell you some basics, first off, you can still utilise the Fame Del Drago attack, except now you must slash the air using your left claw, second you can call forth all your energy to use a powerful attack, but as such, will leave you drained, this attack is called Ultimo ricorso del drago.” He explains.” Now, release your Bankai, your wasting energy just standing there.” He ordered, and with that, he was replaced with the cut-out, and Ryan reverted from the Bankai with a green flash. He was just about to sit down to rest, when Daisuke jumped down in front of him.

“Hey, we’ve got Arrancar in the town, let’s go and see what they’re up to.” He said, and then the two of them headed off, meanwhile, four Arrancar stood together on top of a large building, knowing that their reiatsu will have attracted a certain kind of pest, a pest called Shinigami.
