I wanted to draw him when he was a kid, and then when he was older but still young and misguided and trying to raise one of his students.
No, I did not draw older-Cirdan just to draw that arm thing. Noooo.

And for the record, the arm-spike is a semi-sentient stone that sucks blood and makes some killer magic spells possible.
Nowadays, he keeps it locked in a chest with two others and they commiserate moodily now.
