I love how this picture turned out. It's amazing, and almost all the colors are gradients. Huzzaaaah.

By the way, you guys can't tell, but all that stuff in between the armor is chain mail.

OH NO YOU GUYS

IT'S THE PLOT!

Anyhow. So, recently, I've decided that with the four main protagonists(Yes I'm counting the crab) in order, I should add a little conflict to the mix. If you've read, you'll see that Valt is a thief from Selachor, who stole a priceless amulet from the emperor. Now, Valt doesn't exactly understand why it's so valuable, he's just really sure it'll ring up a nice price on the Black Markets. Course, it turns out to hold a massive secret that could overturn the Emperor's reign. Naturally, he wouldn't want this. So, what does he do? He sends out a Jagernought to kill him.

A bit of description on the Jagernought. They start out their lives as a regular Selachori. They're always male, as the males possess greater physical abilities than the females. Then, the Selachori is drafted into the army. If he displays great physical prowess, he is tested to see if he's worthy of being a Juggernaut. Now, being a Juggernaut is the highest honor that any Selachori could ask for. They're the elite amongst the elite, and there are only three of them on the Earth at a time. Because, after a month of service as a Juggernaut, they are swiftly killed.

That's where it happens. The descent from Juggernaut to Jagernought. The Selachori's body is given a preservative potion to keep it from decaying. Then, they take out the Selachori's heart(Located in the center of its chest) and replace it with a Golem's Eye (Yes I took that from Jonathan Stroud, I like those books.), re-animating the corpse. Only, it doesn't just re-animate it, it gives it new strength. And we are talking strength here. Think, if the regular Selachori is a squishy... fleshy thing, the soldier is a rock, and the Juggernaut is steel, well, then the Jagernought would be a diamond. Their strength is unmatched, and they're the reason why Selachor won't be taken over any time soon.

They're indestructable, unstoppable, and always on the move. So, when Mia and Valt are told by Soledad that one is on the way in one of her Prophecies, they know it's time to move. So, off they go, on the run from a Jagernought, until they can figure out a way to stop it.

All of the characters and stuff above are (c) me.

By the way, yes, I do know how to pronounce the name.

Edit: Apparently people had trouble with the code, so I'm omitting that umlaut'd "a". It's annoying to type anyway.

It's still there.

name gaaaammmmmeeeee!
the word jager means hunter in german, but it's pronounced with a y, not a j. so that's yay-gernought. the nought doesnt seem to fit, though. it means nothing, zero, ruined, lost, outdated and archaic. however what we have here is a very noteworthy, incredibly useful killing machine. so it's a pun, but it's also a misnomer.
