This is a metaphorical illustration of sorts. See, I have a really close friend. And I feel very protective of this friend for circumstantial reasons. Even sometimes when I shouldn't be feeling protective. What holds me together though, is my ability to repress these territorial instincts of mine. And my ability to see the proper time to let them free. Nonetheless, the feelings are still there, and when not revealed in full, they manifest themselves in the form of a deep caring bond.
