Now I know there are like a billion of these out there, but Grimace asked me about how I draw realisticly. I started explaining, but yeah...I suck at explaining. So, hopefully he and some others can learn from this possibly confusing tutorial I just made.
In all honesty, you can learn from other artists just by looking at their work and studying it. STUDY NOT COPY. I can't stress that enough...but mimicking a style is a good place to start off if you're frustrated with coming up with 'your own thing' or tired of the same 'ol/same 'ol. That's pretty much how I learned! The first artist I mimicked was Dave Kelly - you might know him as Shmorky. I learned through his art how to simplify my drawings and come up with a better way to draw comics.
Try to learn something with everything you draw!
