Solar: WHAT WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!
Max: What does it matter?! It's making the entire place dark AND it's trying to kill us!
Solar: ... It's shadows are also eating your body.
Max: YOU'RE! NOT! HELPING!!!
Whoo... go story for a drawing... And for some sorta shading in SAI...
I'm going to bed now, cause that's what sane people are supposed to do at this time of... yeah.
For the love of gods people, I need some comments to get better so if you look, at least tell me it looks like shit before you go or say it looks nice. Don't look and walk away please?

i love how his eyes are almost bigger than his hands

this is good. and the shading is smooth but might i suggest more shading, and more of a contrast between the shading colors, like darker.
but overall, this is great.

Let's see...
Ditto on the shading, it's very unnoticeable. So the art looks rather flat. Work in some more contrast.
The eyes do look abnormally big (which isn't much, coming from me), yet the head shapes don't support them much. Make them more rounded or vertical, and alter the head-shape with it, it'll increase the "flow" of the art.
For Solar, his mouth looks painted on. An side-view open mouth would have a gap where the actual opening is. And black is a poor color choice for such style, stick to maroon or something.
Side-views in a whole are tricky, be sure to lay them out too. And make sure the nose sticks out. The way you have it makes it appear that the nose's tip is connected to the upper lip.
As for Max, let's see.
The human body does not bend that way. You got his torso to the left, his waist to the right, his torso moving back, and his legs moving forwards. Either he's some kinda contortionist, or most of his bones have been shattered. Work more on posing there, use some under-lays or references.
His arms seem unnaturally bent too, but I think that's due to there being no set length for them from what I'm seeing. Elbow stops at belly button, arm stops about half/quarter way through thigh, unless they're a mutant like Crea anyway.
The hand honestly looks aburptly hidden. It's not like there's enough shading to work it's way up the arm and make it dimensionally believable either, more like you just used a 100% opacity brush right over the hand. Next time, more shading.
However, I will admit, that sword and its glow are damned good.
Constructive enough?
