I wrote this into PrintMusic on July 10, 2009. (a few days ago, friday)
A summer day before an old childhood friend of mine's birthday party/sleepover, I hadn't realized I'd promised to be available in two places at the same time. In most cases it's obvious that I should go to the one who I knew for literally my whole life, right? But it's not always so simple, especially since time is really a relative factor for me. In other words, time truly didn't matter, and I cared about honouring both choices with the same feeling. I fretted, tried to calm down, made sketchy plans, and the day (Saturday) came.
Started when I was fiddling with my guitar (stress relief). Then, I added the piano and cello (b/c the cello's awesome). It just happened to be incredibly stormy (lightning, intense wind, everything) and it was inspiring.
If you're wondering how it went, I managed to honour both agreements satisfactorily, though I obviously didn't stay to sleep over after the party. :)
