Hey everyone, I woke up yesterday and suddenly thought "I'd like to model an R2 unit!" So, I did. For a change instead of going my usual arse-about-tit method of modelling and getting into a mucking fuddle with booleans and editing polys, I decided to utilise Photoshop to create bump maps for the entire R2 cylindrical body and most of the head. It worked out quite well, at least in my opinion...

Pretty bad ass, I think. My only gripe is with the colored shape around his "eye." It seems oddly flat compared to everything else, which just looks awesome. If you dound a way to fix that, then all would be well.
