The Tale of Two - Angel of Escape

I awaken to what sounds like thunder.

They are evacuating, for enemy troops have advanced close nearby.

Everything is blurry and in slow motion.

I see everyone panicking to escape.

Patients are left behind along with bloodied half finish operations.

With all my strength I try to summon myself to my feet so that I may escape as well.

As soon as I stand I quickly fall down.

My chest starts to bleed, and as I look up I see a woman's face.

She help's me up and walks me to a truck that is taking all the soldiers.

But, the moment I saw her face it looked just like her. Like my lovely Nicole.

Like an angel who rescued me I spoke weakly and asked her for her name.

I don't believe she heard me.

She hands me over to a group of men near the truck and they hall me in.

Staring out the back I see building ablaze and crumbling.

The screams of the dying and the dead who were left inside being burnt alive can be heard clearly.

I shed tears and watch many people die as the truck starts up and heads on it's way in a rush.

God, where are you? Do you see the carnage that man has wrought upon himself?

Why don't you do anything to help?

Just as I had questioned a man behind me asked me how the hell I managed the strength to get to the truck.

He said that he saw me in there earlier and that I looked half dead.

I relied saying that the nurse that handed me over to you guys helped.

He said that there was no nurse, that I had miraculously made to the truck by myself.

No nurse......could it have been.....an angel?
