"How sad that a beauty such as yours will never live to see another sunrise."
The king gingerly lays his claws upon his bride, whose eyes solemnly look away. She is silent. Her muzzle and her lips wait, like a predator posed to strike. The king's eyes wander down her body, between the cleavage of her chest and down the valley of her abdomen.
"Your highness..."
With a sudden, harsh yank on the silken cord which binds her neck, the pantheress is brought sprawling into the king's lap.
"Do not dare speak when you are not spoken to!" he roars. She quivers frightfully, jarred almost enough that her fragile plan could fall apart. After a moment, the king's stern expression softens. He places a claw below her muzzle and raises her eyes to meet his. Softly, carefully, almost forgiving she returns his touch. Her own dainty paw rests on the hard, taut scales of his chest.
"Hear me now; I am a gracious and benevolent king. I will not let you go into that murky afterlife without ever knowing the pleasures of the flesh and fur. It shall be my gift, unto you."
"Sire," the sultry prisoner whispers, "I thank you for this final gift. Yet, I have another talent. Please... before my humble flame is put out, I beg of you..."
She pauses, finally gazing back into his deep and hungry eyes.
"Let me to tell you a story..."

This is my half of a trade with SugarCat on FurAffinity. Man, it took me long enough, but I'm kind of proud of how this turned out. Lately, I've been trying to figure out how to successfully mix colored pencils with watercolor paint. I love the texture and precision of colored pencils, but at the same time, I appreciate the gentle and spontaneous effect of watercolors. There has to be some sort of middleground...

I used Sonic and the Secret Rings as reference for some elements. The locales of the Sonic Storybook series are usually quite well-done! Oh yeah.. and I also browsed through my art history books, but just a little! :P
