A friend of mine held a steampunk tea party back in April (I believe... could be May... I can't recall).
Either way, we had to prepare costumes to wear to this delightful event.
I threw this together in about a week using things I already had, modified things I bought at a second hand store, and making a few items myself. Favorite part of this costume: the eyepatch.
In the second image, my boyfriend accompanies me, dressed as Capt. Jack Harkness from Torchwood/Dr. Who.
Shirt: made back in September for my pirate costume
Undervest: bought years prior
Top blazer: modified from a blazer I had purchased - I took it in, removed the sleeves, and adjusted the length
Skirt: made from fabric purchased on a whim - it is EXTREMELY short in the front and EXTREMELY long in the back. I call it my Steampunk Mullet Skirt
