My entry for the Megaman-legends-Club's(DA) Summer Time Roll Contest! Since there's some teasing going around about this being an excuse for fanboys to drawexploit Roll in a skimpy bikini/swimsuit I decided to do my twist on things. This is also my first time drawing Roll with Frayed hair and I have to say I kinda like it.
Roll is wearing her one-piece bathing suit UNDERNEATH her t-shirt. It may not seem like it, but she is supposed to be a lifeguard here. I was going to have a whistle at first but decided against it as I thought it messed up the line of the shirt. Orange Swimsuit in homage to Bay Watch. The "RMD" is an abbreviation of Rock Man Dash and the 3 is my little wish for a sequel. The Red Cross Motif is of course in reference to the American Red Cross Life Guards.
Lastly, the background images are things I think of when I think of summer: Watermelons(GREEN), Popsicles (PURPLE), Beach Balls (RED), and Mr. Sun (YELLOW)(That and a cool soda on a hot day
). The choice in these colors weren't random. Each are complimentary colors to each other:
Purple+Yellow=Complimentary
Red+Green=Complimentary
Blue for the background color because that is the color that most reminds me of summer. I also envisioned a darker blue would look best.
PS-After I finished this I got a sticker sheet kind of vibe from this image. In a good way of course.
