Wounds

Flames lick the wounds of the dying sun
The card house fell and no one won
Lips that tease the front tooth’s lie
Giggle box broken, I want to die.
Sugary kisses so sweet a treat
Ants within chew the meat

Sleeping sons, in streets they lay
Mother’s brains
On Buick remains
Tapping the skull since that day
My mind has gone far away.

Vampire teeth and dragonfly wings
Fat man’s heart pulled by strings
Billy’s dead grin around cornflakes
Rain-stained window gives more than takes
Floyd’s damaged song is now my creed
“There’s someone in my head—and it’s not me.”

A personal bit of angst here.

Brain Damage is obviously a song of Pink Floyd's and I have no hopes or dreams of taking credit for something written years before I was born.

Giggle box broken, I want to die is my favorite line I think next to the whole second verse.
