Try feathering your selection(s) before cutting them out. The edges on the wolf shouldn't be so distinct. For cuttin out hair, perhaps you should try using the wand tool to select by color.
Not sure what you did with the text there, but when you blurred it, the layer wasn't big enough and you got a hard edge on the blur. Consider increasing the layer boundary size before said blurring in the future.
Its fairly obvious this image was creating using low-resolution source material(s). The key to creating a high-quality wallpaper is to make sure your source materials are at (or smaller than) their original size. The scaling in this image is fairly evident in the many JPEG artifacts visible on the dude's face, arms, and hair, and also visible around the wolf's teeth and chin hair.
