A portrait and figure drawing of the singer Sabine Edelsbacher, from an amazing band named Edenbridge. I followed in the vein of my Doro Pesch portrait - from a live photo of them, turning them into a sort of fantasy figure based upon the lyrics of a single song. In this case, an angel, because of the song I chose, and well...her voice - that and the general theme running through their songs.

I can't actually find either of the pictures I based this on (I had to get a second for the face as it happens people pull strange faces when they sing, but here's a much smaller version of the photo i used for the general pose (the orange one not the non-live photograph):

The song I based this one is here for listening (free and legal):

It's one of the most beautiful songs going. Lovely vocals and epic classical/metal arangements. Strongly recomend you check it out, no-matter your tastes ('cept y'all gangstas init T_T). If you get bored of the whole 10 minute ordeal, skip near to the end and at least check out this impressive closer:

And here I am walking in silence, making my steps beyond
Beyond the afterglow in a constant flow of light
The rainbow seems so near, finally I am here
The guardian angels they're calling my name
An astral dream in the sky?
They're dancing at the carnival of souls
They dance into the light into eternal light
I'm singing the tune in unison with angels
In the key of lordian harmony
The journey has an end
I'm waiting in command
Never to contend ... in the end

Lovely picture, and nice song too, I just had a listen, never heard of them before, but they sound pretty good!
