The "background" sound is waaay too distorted and makes it hard to listen to. Static is usually quickly used as a drum sort of thing, and when it extends at such a loud usage, it's very brain-drilling, which is probably unintended.
I listen to Autechre, Caspa, edIT, Aoki Takamasa, MSTRKRFT, and tons of other groups who utilize distortion, so I know kind of what you're aiming for. But I think this piece needs to be cleaned up a little to separate the intentional static from the unintentional static. Too much buzz is a bad thing.
