This is another song from my ongoing collaboration with Albert Vinasco. The song was inspired by the book of the same name by Aldous Huxley, and is sung from the perspective of a misfit living in the futuristic world, but craving a life where feelings and emotions still exist.

Piano and vocals are by me, bass, guitar, drums and final production are by Albert Vinasco.
Lyrics:-

Are you engaged tonight, will you be seeing somebody?
And through the lonely night, will there be someone to comfort you?
They say that everyone, belongs to everybody else,
But I feel so confused, all I want is to belong to you,
But I know that you don’t want me to.

I lie awake at night and think about you constantly
And in the darkness pray you’ll come to me

Chorus

This is a Brave New World, no emotions to cloud your senses
Could this be love I’m feeling for you?
Never in this world,
Never in this Brave New World

I don’t seem to belong, this sterile world depresses me
I should have lived long ago, when the spirit was allowed to grow.
But many years have passed, and memories are fading fast
All passion, love and jealousy, just remain a part of history,
But I feel they are a part of me.

And when I close my eyes, your image comes to me so fast,
Am I a throwback from an age long passed?

Chorus

This is a Brave New World, no emotions to cloud your senses
Could this be love I’m feeling for you?
Never in this world,
Never in this Brave New World
