Ashes

When the Ashes fall...
When white noises are all that we hear,
When LED screens are all that we see,
When we realize our mistakes too late,
When we are no longer in control,
And when lifetimes pass in the blink of an eye,
Then it is that people turn to the stars,
The dust of time, Immortal, fleeting,
Waiting for our infinitesimal time to come to an end,
So another may begin,
For that is where we came, and to where we must return.

Yeah, this took me forever... The clouds probably took the longest, and that's the only part of the piece that left me unsatisfied. That, and the big piece of blank paper on the right where there is no smoke. I must have spent days trying to come up with a filler for that space, and i still left most of it blank. I conveniently had a piece that was already overcrowded and was based on the concept on Armageddon, so i was safe putting in a meteor shower. As usual, no piece is perfect, so this was more of a learning piece for me. i really pushed myself to spend a long time on this one, and i think it payed off.
