This image started off very... unplanned. At first, I initially wanted to paint an underwater scene, but I got bored halfway through and decided to do something a bit different. I'm glad I did at the end of the day, as an underwater scene would have probably been too cliche.

It's funny how ppl became desensitized to the fact that mermaids are hybrid human beings. I think if I actually seen a part man-part fish creature in a lake, I'd...run. lol
Just rambling. GOOD JOB though. She actually looks part woman and part fish unlike Disney's Ariel...who looks pretty much...human. lol

The only thing that really bugs me about it is the indication of two "knees" in the tail. Why would the fishy bit have knees? *chuckle* It's one of my pet peeves with most mermaid images, though. The rest is quite beautiful.
