This is... Wow, this is just monumental for me.

It's not something I do everyday, usually I just do some half-a*s worked picture. No, this one I really put a lot of effort into. It's got a story in it to, and I didn't realize what I'd done by creating this until after I'd finished it. This has so many emotions of mine wrapped up into it, I'm going to try my best to explain it, but it's going to be hard. I'm crying as it is, forget about typing. ;o;

As a lot of you know, or may not know, 3 years ago my mother was killed. Before that, my Grandfather died. I never got a childhood, really. Just a few precious years that I can barely remember. I've always wanted my mother back. In this picture, Oceans, a sweet and charming, but little bubble-headed, girl has been turned into a mother, suddenly and without warning, but she can't help but love the little baby she created, just as Ocean's father, the Sea-King, does, and cradles both his daughter and granddaughter, carefully, in his embrace of the oceans, the waves.

Oceans is based off my mother. I didn't realize this until now, but she is. In a way, I am Thalassa. I never wanted to loose my mom, and I never thought the world could hurt us, especially the world. It's everything you can expect in one moment. Love between a daughter and her mother, worry that this mother can't give everything to her daughter, lies about their forms (in reality both Oceans and Thala have 4 legs and hooves), and momentary peace.

You can buy a print, asmall one of course, on my DeviantArt :) Just Messege me if you want it.

This is really good work! I love the blending detail and shading. The symbolism is also really powerful. Thank you for sharing this with us!
