The ruby is considered to be a bright red stone that reminds most of fire. I used that aspect of the ruby the most but also added in the aspect that it protects the wearer as well.

I've been loving all of these in this series, but since I'm a July birthday, I suppose I'm a bit biased toward liking this one the best so far.
