Do u remember this little girl? she was on several old pictures I amde. yeeeah right! It's gaia - the ancient greek godness of Earth.
I tried some new stuff at this picture.. more realistic. althought Iit was hard work it absolutely woth it.. haha but I told myself after finishing "nu, Angel u won't do that now all the time... otherwise u will work yourself to death!" ;]
A lot of people look at me then and "huh? gaia.. nuu Gaia has in a lot of stories, games/animes green hair"... HMPF! Who cares? I prefer blue... makes her special... in a weird way.

The picture is really beautiful :3 I like the contrast and ... generally, the highlight and the main idea of the picture seems to be working with lights and shadows :3 Really beautiful, solemn in a way.
It's similar to your "other" style - you seem to have two main ones. first one is used for anthros. It's sharp and colorful. The second one - this one - usually sort of sad, deep and solemn, with a human. Or avatar, in this case. I really like the different approach to lights and shadows they cast.

This piece is truly beautiful. I love the colours and lighting you used and you should be proud of those ripples and underwater subtle parts - I think those are my favourite parts.
