So this is the Photoshop project I've been working on for about 2 months. The only reason really that it took me so long is that I slacked off a lot quite a few times. School gets in the way of my life -_-
Anyways, I tryed A LOT of new techniques as far as Photoshop. I did use the pen tool to re-do the line art and used it a lot in the hair. I used about four shades with the hair and skin although it was probably unnessiary in the end >_> I tryed to add some texture to her skirt to give it a worn jean look. I think it turned out pretty good. The hair is probably what took the longest (besides re-doing the line art). I'm not going to be in too much of a habit of re-doing the lineart so enjoy it now. I must say my best fried Moo inspired me to draw Sushi again and just pour effort and time into it with her version of Sushi that she posted back in April. I watched her work on it a little when I was at her house one weekend and it was probably the most helpful and inspiring tutorial you can get. So thanks Moo  I am happy with how it turned out and I'm especially happy I decided to add a background.
The little card she's holding is a seal slip and it says "light". Nothing special but I just needed a design on the slip. Sushi normally creates her own seals so you won't see her using one with Kanji on it too often. She's supposed to be walking back from a forest in the very early morning.

Critique is HIGHLY encouraged :D

My favorite aspects of this would have to be the background and the hair.
I looooovvveee that haaaaiiiirrr~ <3
It looks so silky and soft. :>
I would say that something that would help make the hair look better would be using a lighter shade for the shineys, because that part looks unsaturated like you used the dodge tool.
For instance, I got wonderful results using a bright orange on brunette hair accompanied with the dodge tool.
But you really did wonderfully getting the hair to flow and look...strandular like hair does.

The only thing I can think to critique on the background is I think that the grass lacks texture. adding a few more (hand drawn) strands of grass here and there would help.
I do love the cobblestone though, and the cool, calm colors.

For skin, I think it looks a just little yellow. If you still have the photoshop document, try your 'skin layer' and go to adjustments>hue/saturation and go -2, or so, and see how you like it. Also, a little shading in between the thighs would help show they are round. Other than that, I think the shading on the skin is fantastic.

Clothing looks great, you already know I love her outfit ;)
I forgot about the sleeve you added, I want it XD
I think the texture on the skirt looks good too.
Just to give you more to look at, I think adding more folds would be a nice touch, also, deeper shading (especially under breasts) is fun too.

As far as the actual line art goes, you were right about the head being just a bit to big, but other than that I can only pick out things I've seen you do before, so listen up! ;)
Your shoulders are a little uneven, try drawing a guide line across for a while, it helped me (I started drawing something like those stick figures, actually more helpful tan I thought).
I think the head would look a bit more even, too if the hips hands and feet were a little bit bigger.
Hips would be fine if it were a male.
Other than that, this is great babe, I can really see all the little details you put into it, I like the lips too, it looks really good keep doing that ;P
And the ribbon looks cute too, nice and shiny. You have a great way of making things look flowy, seriously.
The shape of the eyes is cute too, I dunno, thought I'd say that XD
As for the eyes, you made her's blue and green just like mine :yeyz: It makes me happy! ^^

Also, how did you do the mist? just low opacity? I like it. :>

Sorry for the looooonnngggg critique, but you know how I am when I like something ;3;
