No, seriously, OK!

Right guys, seriously, Its time to announce the winner of 'A New Challenger Appears!' if you didn't submit your entry to the Fish Vrs Sword clubs... WHY DIDN'T YOU!? Now its too late! It was an FvS competition. The rules of the competition as I stated in the Author's comments of the original submission piece here, the main rule was for it to be humourous, the funnier it was the greater its chances of winning would be, regardless of the participants talents.

But first before I announce the winner, I will give a mention to those who participated and my comments on their pieces:

MexiGallo is Mexican. I honestly was not expected that and it certainly got a laugh from me, the cactus on the roof adding extra comedic value. However it was let down by Siccer's predictable reaction to seeing Gallo. Being Archnemisis of course he'd want to kill Gallo on sight, and it was this that prevented you from winning. Cheers though Sic, it was still pretty lolsome.

Heya 2Swords, long time no see. I have to say that your submission did make me smile a little, it contained a curious humour to it, of the sort you'd see in a slightly less rediculous version of 'Dude, Where's my Car?' Not sure, but that's how it struck me. However, it lack in terms of funniness in comparison to other submissions, but still good nonetheless. And I like your reworking of the original picture into your style to suit the joke of the piece.

An unorthodox piece to be sure Shida, and in truth I liked the idea of your ghost Koi fish bothering other people and stealing their beer. However, it still lacked in terms of Laugh out Loud material, but in terms of creativity, and creepiness, it was quite the winner. Shame though.

Dammit Major! Salmon is my favourite fish to eat, don't ruin it by slapping me with it! A highly random piece I'll admit major and it did make me laugh a bit. Well done.

I don't have that much to say about this other then the fact that I literally did bust out laughing. I was not expecting this and I'm sure no-one else was either. While I normally distain most artworks that use 'LOLBOOBS' to get noticed and be popular, in the context of the picture itself, the Merchant's usual character and attitude, this piece is absolutely hilarious, Gallo's expression only making it moreso. Well done, Torinaura wins.

Of course this means your prize is that you get to dictate any interaction between Gallo and the merchant you damn well bloody please for my next piece, and I, as the one giving out the prize, must draw/write/animate (please don't ask for an animation, please! D=), said interaction of these two to the best of my ability. It will be completely non-canon, so go nuts.

In other FvS related news:

-I have a flashback story nearly done regarding Gallo's time in the Fish Legion/Dreadfish Lands between the two wars as an exile. I am trying my hand at a horror story here so there will be Gothic Elements of both Traditional and of Cthulu Mythos inspiration. I came to this after I heard some people think gallo's overpowered, so this story is primarily about bringing him down to size and making him appear vulnerable to the reader. And no, he does not escape in this one. You'll see what I mean.

-I had another story started about Gallo arriving in the camp set up by the Sword Front Line Battalion as he takes command of that. However, since I have had a hardrive fail and replacement, ALL of my files are now gone, so this story is going to have to be re-written and will eventually lead to the siege fo Tarses. I ask that those Swords who are not apart of the other branches of the army to tell me, so that I may have some names to work with as cameos, or I'll be forced to create fictional Sword characters.

-I am greatly surprised and somewhat humbled that the idea of Tarses has been so warmly received, and upgraded into an official event by the powers that be, (,), I have a dramatic flash planned about the siege, it will contain no story and will basically just show the four armies converging on the City itself, Fish and Dreadfish assaulting the City, (and eachother), Swordfish infiltrating the city (as well as some neutrals for whatever bloomin' reason), and reinforcements from Dryrnwym (sp?) arriving to relieve the belligered forces, then moving on to duels between certain characters from the second FvS war (active characters), who i've already picked. I made sure there's no storyline to this so as to not to interfere with other peoples' plans for the event and it will be primarily action with music in the background.

Now, I know its unusual for me to announce all this in a literary submission, but a simple journal update will not reach all those people that this announcement concerns, so I tried to be as brief and OoC as possible so i can keep peoples' attention long enough for them to realise that this is not another one of my bloomin' stories.
