I once used to enjoy torturing people I knew who couldn't stand harsh flavors by sucking on a lemon right in front of them.
Happened to get my hands on some the other day and decided I'd make juice out of the last three. No water. No sugar. Just frothy lemon juice.
I scattered what was left of the peel, seeds, and whatnot around the cup with some plastic grass. I should have dried it first so that it would have been sprinkled about instead of clumpy. But I knew I'd drink that damned juice if I waited. So, I hopped up on a gallon of gray paint (because my tripod was taller than me) and took a few shots. This was my favorite.
Natural lighting from the window, a flashlight, and a slow shutter speed resulted in this.
I WANTED to sharpen it up so that the bubbles were more visible, but it ruined the rest of the image and I didn't want to risk just sharpening some areas and musing up the glass.
... This glass lasted all of maybe ten minutes.

Yum.
I enjoyed reading your description.
Wish more people would give that kind of story behind their images.

Oh yum. I love lemons.
This picture is very interesting. The lighting is definately very nicely done but for some reason, i'm reminded of coconuts. :/
