During the fall term, we had to design a character for an existing series. One in realist style, one in cartoon style and one in U.P.A style (which means a flat design, a bit like Dexter's lab, Yogi Bear, Rocky and Bullwinkle, etc.)
This one is the cartoon style character. He was designed for Fleischer's cartoons, such as Bimbo, Betty Boop, Pop Eye, etc. He's a scientist.
