For an anatomy project we had to line up characters accurately representing the different phases of the same movement. I usually don't make anatomy projects very personnal but for this one I did. I decided to express a bit of Québec nationalism by making charicatures of Canadian politicians who have been putting sticks in the wheels of Québec. They are taking turn to strike a pinata of Bonhomme Carnaval, our national winter holidays mascot.
From right to left: Pierre-Elliott Trudeau, the king of the party, Jean Chrétien, waiting eagerly for his turn, holding his baseball bat sponsored for too much money by the state, Paul Martin, who returned from the Bahamas just for the occasion, Stéphane Dion, struggling to handle his bat and Stephen Harper, our actual prime minister, picking his favorite weapon.
I used a lot of references and had to practice a lot to draw the faces rights. I also took pictures of myself taking the poses to help. :}}}
