I had something similar happen like that. My sister had a hedgehog, and she wanted me to keep an eye on it while she was cleaning out it's cage. I put it down on the floor near me and watched it for a few minutes. My mind drifts and the next thing I know, I feel something prickly against my leg. The hedgehog had crawled up my pant leg, and was making a beeline straight up it (I was sitting on the floor with my legs straight out)
I couldn't pull it out cause it got spikey when I tried. I ended up losing a pair of pants cause of that hedgehog...
