Fox Tales Chapter 4
Tenke shut the door and locked it; he lay back down on the couch. He picked up his phone and saw he had a message. He opened it and looked at it.
Tenke-Kun,
I wanted to talk to you, could you meet me by the old park.
I’ll be waiting for you there.
-Trek-Chan
Tenke looked at the time it had been sent to him, over an hour ago. He shook his head and sent her a reply
Trek-Chan,
Alright, I’ll be there in a little bit.
Sorry for the wait, was visiting someone at the hospital.
I’ll tell you more later…maybe.
-Tenke-Kun.
Tenke got up and shoved his phone into his pocket, and felt something stab him, he pulled his hand out quickly. Seeing blood he wondered what it was. He quickly took of the pants and turned them upside down on the table. His phone clattered and fell to the floor, some pencils fell out and then a piece of metal, looked like from a knife. He looked at it, confused as hell and picked it up. “what the hell?” he asked him self looking at it, throwing it away, he put the pants back on and shoved everything back into his pockets, and walked out the door.
He walked quickly, not wanting her to wait any longer then she had already. Hoping that she was still there. When Tenke got there, he saw that the black cat was sitting under a tree, looking at her phone. Tenke ran to her and sat down opposite from her, “sorry I was late.” He said and looked at her.
“Yeah, what ever, I got your message, so I understand.” She said, he voice was barely above a whisper. She still didn’t look all that pleased.
Tenke flattened his ears, “Still, it’s been a while, hasn’t it?” He asked her, trying to lighten the mood.
“Yeah,” she shrugged, putting her phone away. “So, who were visiting?” she asked, here green eyes meeting his equally green eyes.
“Ishtaar.” He said looking back.
“Why’s he there?” she asked, “Although, he’s not the last person I’d expect in a hospital bed.” she chuckled.
“Kind of my fault, but he was stabbed apparently.” He said smiling slightly.
“What you mean ‘your fault?” she looked at his eyes still.
“I was talking harshly of my ex-boyfriend” he said.
“Wait” she cut him off “what do you mean ex-?” she asked.
“We broke up.” He flattened his ears again. “But I don’t want to talk about it.” He said, changing the subject. “So what have you been doing?” he asked her.
“Just trying to get through college.” She shrugged her shoulders. They talked till it was dark, they said bye and headed their separate ways.
Tenke side and opened his phone, a text from Trek.
Tenke-Kun,
Sleep good

Don’t get into trouble again.
Terk-Chan
Tenke laughed, and text her back.
Terk-Chan,
You sleep good too.
See ya soon hopefully

Tenke-Kun
Tenke shut the phone and started to run home. The fox got into the door and his phone rang. “Hello?” he said sitting down.
“Tenke,” a woman’s voice said. “I’m so sorry” she said, she was crying.
“Huh?” he said. “Wait, who is this, what’s wrong?” he asked looking confused.
“This is...” she sniffed “Isis.” She said, sobbing. “Ishtaar….” She started to cry.
“What happened,” he leaned forward, “Is he ok?” he started to worry.
“No…he’s …” she was crying.
“Hold on, I’ll be down there soon.” He said. And hung up, s and sprinted out the door, not shutting it. He ran as fast as he could, running around cars because the sidewalks we too crowded. He got into the hospital, panting, he saw a young female wolf sitting down, crying. Tenke recognized her as Ishtaar’s mother. He sat down next to her and rubbed her back softly. “Isis….is…” she nodded and rubbed her muzzle, trying to stop crying.” Tenke started to have tears form in his eyes; he got up and went to where his best friend was, Doctors were standing around the young wolf. Tenke pushed in and saw the black wolf, his eyes shut, and his chest not raising and falling with breaths. He shook him lightly. “Ishtaar, Ishaar, wake up.” He said, hoping it was going to work. “You cant, you can’t leave me alone.” He said. Dr. Kiyta grabbed him and took him out side, holding him tightly.
“Tenke, I’m sorry,” he said, “I really am.” He said and met the fox’s eyes, Tenke looked up at him with blurry eyes, and he ran out of the hospital at a full run. Tenke ran for miles before he had slowed down, he looked around and saw nothing but green, he had reached the park again, he walked over to the swings and sat down, placing his hands over his face. People looked at him, but quickly went on their way; he sat there for an hour. He eventually got up and went home, it was fully dark by the time he got home, and he sat down, sobbing again. He picked up a pillow and bit into it, crying again. Shoving his head further into the pillow. He fell asleep with the pillow in his arms.
