critique the hell out of this

copypasta-ing some of my description on dA:

"now here is why Ed is better than Cullen (prepare yourselves):

besides the fact that Cullen sucks more cocks than he does necks (and if you find that offensive enough to report another deviation, let me know, damn it), Ed is not better because of the shallow reasons. he may be smarter, kinder, and funnier than Cullen, but that is not what makes Ed so great. please understand that, because FMA is SO MUCH DEEPER, and that is what makes it better than just some romance with two kids who are twitterpated over one another.
Ed is who I truly want to be like. he is just a teenager who made a huge mistake when he was younger, and all he wants is to make up for that mistake. he wants the best for his brother, who he cares about more than his life, and wants to protect everyone that he loves. he may act immature, but he is only a kid, and he only acts so immature when his height is insulted (which, in theory, by calling him small means that he is too small to really fix his life or change the world). he is running away from his mistake but he still wants to learn from it, fix it, and help others avoid it. not only that, but he tries to avoid all other distractions in other to reach his goal. he concentrates fully on finding solutions to his problem, not on petty problems. he knows what he is doing, knows his life's purpose, and knows how important he is to others. he wants to save his Goddamn country.
this fictional character is so inspiring that I feel closer to finding myself, now that I've *sort of* stumbled after him. laugh as you will, but haven't fictional characters changed your life too?
and the only way to put Ed down on Cullen's level is to say that they both have gold eyes, gold hair and the same name. Cullen can't compare otherwise, with his "perfectly sculpted" self. Ed doesn't need to be perfect."
