First time drawing him..

This started out as a messy sketch only to brush up on my "Armor" skills..since I never drew MC before. But as I kept on sketching along I saw that his armor is really composed of nothing but shapes.

So I started to actually put some effort into it.. and shaded it.. this is not my best pencil work.. rather it was just for my brain to soak in all the armor shapes he possesses.

Oh god that shading is awesome. I like how he's all sneaking out from behind that tree, super stealth! The light reflections and everything look really good on the outfit, and how they match up with the lighting on the tree, it's just awesome! >D

Yup. All things are composed of basic shapes. One just has to see that beforehand. It's how I draw my Dirgey and his circley head.

All in all, I think this is probably one of the most detailed pics you've ever done. The geometry is not at all bad. Armour like this is always a pain to draw. But I can tell the time and effort you put into it and you did such a nice job. I'm afraid to draw things like this... it hurts my brain too much. Maybe someday...

I love how he's all sneaky around the corner thar. It really brings him to life, yanno? Like there's an actual being in there instead of just a model or some brainless robot.
