This song is infectious. I did it absolutely no justice whatsoever. Corinne Bailey Rae is one of those artists that, if not for the loss of her husband, would still be making it big today. One album and a Grammy nomination or two and she's pretty much fizzled out without a bang.
Still, for those that remember her, she was an amazing artist with an amazing voice.
Another song done live with guitar and vocals. Though I did add some stuff in afterwards. I still have a shitload of course work to get through this week so hopefully I can get a really nice song that I've been planning down into Logic.
Not much time to do so until the Summer though.
It's funny but, inspiration wise, I've always latched on to deep R&B bass with guitar. Funny world.
I guess me already saying that I don't do it justice at all is enough to make you think about listening to the original. I advise you to do so. You won't be disappointed.
If I find this album in stores one day, I'm buying it. No exceptions.

I haven't gotten to listen to the whole thing yet - have to get ready for work - but I really like what I've heard so far. My only concern is that the extra stuff that comes in at about 0:53 is too loud and kinda throws your voice behind it, rather than highlighting your voice. I had trouble hearing you through it at points.

While I do agree that the backing track does overshadow your voice in some parts, for the most parts, this is a stellar cover of a great song.
