Unmask

This is one of my rp characters. He's probably got my favorite personality of the bunch of them.

Character info- Liam Vasser-
Liam is essentially a shapeshifter. He was brought to Emmerich Center when he was young enough to forget his name. He grew up under the impression that his name was Lime, and still goes by it. His personality is characterized by a spontaneous and enthusiastic demeanor. He is extremely lively and playful with people. His train of thought is particularly difficult to follow. That may be because he was originally a test subject before being promoted to a specialized series of superhumans after his abilities proved useful enough to exploit.

He has a tendency to dwell on things he regrets. He has difficulty merging all the aspects of himself, resulting in a very distinct black and white personality. He's usually excessively animated, but sometimes serious to a fault. He doesn't often express his more melancholy side since he figures it would inevitably lead people learn about his history and insecurities. He's remarkably reticent with his anxieties.

Lime cannot take the shape of anyone unless he has personally killed them. During his time at Emmerich Center he obtained a few forms. Lime doesn't recall his original form. Most often he takes on the appearance of his old roommate and friend at Emmerich, Errol Hemer, who he killed shortly after their release from Emmerich in an accident. (to make the event more stressful, Diego, a close friend, cannibalized Errol's body to obtain the necessary strength to get them out of the situation they were in.) This understandably causes Lime a lot of distress.

He takes on more responsibility than often reasonable for things he feels at fault for. When Lime is overcome with guilt, he leaves his regular life to do something he feels benefits the world as his way to manage his conscience. For instance, he and Diego are jointly raising Errol's kid. Diego has pointed out that it's obsessive of him to spend so much time feeling remorse and that he thinks Lime should spend his time living more in the present than than past.

It somewhat bothers him that he doesn't recall anything that distinguishes himself as an individual. (ie- his name, his body, his family, his ethnicity, etc.)

Nonetheless, he's usually an overwhelmingly happy and somewhat daft man who proves to make almost any situation more colorful than it rightfully should be.
