Just a suggestion though, when you take pictures, you might want to turn the flash off fr a better waulity. If you don't already.

Using the tape to shape your lines was a great idea. Using index cards also works well, but you have to use one hand to hold it in place, whereas with the tape, you have two hands to work with. I'll have to remember that for my own use.
When it comes to pictures being too light, too dark, or too blurry, it's like I said before. Just play around with your camera to see what works best.
Red and blue are contrasting colors, so when you put them together, it's always an eyecatcher. It also helps when they're properly blended, which you've done marvelously here. Once again, I really enjoy viewing your makeup tutorials.
