HUGE FILE WARNING! 4298x1245 pixels.

I've been drawing for a very long time. As with most artists, I had a few big jumps and a few periods without much improvement. My biggest were probably 2000-2003 and 2006-2007. I've included art from 2003 all the way up to now, and I can see a few clear differences...

My style hasn't really changed that much. o_o You'll probably notice something else, too--each year, I have a few "advanced" pieces. I mean pictures that are drawn before their time. Then everything else looks "average". I make progress in large jumps, but unfortunately, my bottom line doesn't follow. It develops slowly. By 2009, my bottom line improved significantly. I am now pretty happy with my skill.

I hope you can see the differences. x3 It's a little hard for me right now.

Iris Angel163 Says:

Wow! This is awesome! I see so much improvement through here!^_^ I can really tell by how you colored :3 Plus I can also see how some of your work became more realistic as time progressed.

I love seeing this type of thing since it can really show a person just how much they've improved over a few years time ^_^ Great job! *glomps*

Hyziel Astarte Says:

Hahaha you poke at my envy and dwindling productivity D:! O woe the insufferable dementia on my face as I realize my lack of skill!

More or less I haven't been at this for so long or been at it faithfully enough. Damn mentality of just "create a masterpiece on the spot!" without any basic skills at all. If only I could find some way to structure my learning..

But enough about me, sometimes you really do push/inspire me to improve my skills, whether they be quick sketches or doodles they always seem to be filled with this.. intangible substance of pinkness- okay, let's say "soul" instead :D, or "thoughts", which I put none or very shallowly into my art. I keep forgetting I must love what I am doing instead of scowling at "this wrong shape" "this wrong presentation".

<3 you, you know it.

Dante Cross Says:

Hmmm... How nostalgic. You still have a copy of our old art trade :D

Feadraug Says:

Even if you can't appreciate those changes that well, there are there. They might be small, but those small steps get you further in your way for getting experience and improving. And really, the change in your style is very clear, it's become cleaner and nicer, and also the little bits of realism give it a more unique style.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your style keeps evolving in the next years. :-3

O_o is that Hirra during 2004???

This makes me want to do a timeline too, dispite how infrequently I've been drawing. -_-;
