Memory

Dani said an elephant never forgets.

Going out of my way to make my 'pieces' as shallow and impersonal as I can, I often turn to something humorous or "out there."

In this case, an old man with an elephant coming out of his head.

What does it mean? Does it mean he has a strong memory? That he is struggling to push out an elephantine thought? I don't even know.

I first tried to make the elephant out of clay, but the man's frail figure crumbled from the pressure.

Dani reminded me of Dumbo, where there are pink elephants and the balloon thing popped into mind.

LITERALLY, the balloons popped sooo many times. Pretty much everything that could go wrong happened.

Here's to it making its journey to school in one piece tomorrow.
