The Mother I Never Had

Elme what can I say but thank you for being who you are.
God has gifted you with a personality both gentle and friendly
Enough to love an outcast brat like myself

When I was unwanted you took me under your wing
No matter what you have stuck by me in areas most would not
You don't judge anyone and love unconditionally

Your do and give so much yet expect nothing in return
You light up the room you walk into and you can't help but smile
No one can disagree with any of this
Your like a mother to me

I wrote this about a friend of mine that I'm going to surprise her with on Monday.
