h y m n [Interlude - I]

The day starts off
Just as it began
The day before, and
The day before that

But unlike
A week, a month,
A year into the past,
Something unpredictable
Has come to me at last

And like a butterfly
She won’t stand to be pinned fast
Wings broken on the corkboard
Just beneath the glass

And unlike what’s happened
A year into the past,
She’s something unpredictable
That’s come to me at last

Something unpredictable
Has come to me at last.

(But even though I love her so,
Butterflies can be poisonous,
you know.)

It's been a slow week for writing, but I was so happy to have stumbled across h y m n [Interlude - I] by The melodic flow of this piece held me until the end. I wanted more yet the length was just enough to execute the point Imperial made. Enjoy this piece and the rest of the user's gallery. You won't be disappointed :)

Wow, great rhyming!! Not only do I suck at rhyming, but I also suck at making songs!! Great song lyrics like this bring tears to my eyes. Almost. And it's your first song, too!! Great job, man!! :glomp: <3
